SCORE chapters provide free business counseling and low-cost workshops in their communities. Anyone considering a business start-up or with an existing small business is eligible for counseling at no charge. Counseling is available in Tacoma and other South Sound locations.

The SCORE Association (Service Corps of Retired Executives), founded in 1964, is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE has 389 chapters throughout the United States, with 11,500 volunteers. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
